But I don't know you, and many women do prefer otherwise. Anyway, there is a US Embassy
http://www.dusseldorf.usconsulate.gov
and that's a great place to visit. Maybe they hire, and maybe they just need some help at first and you can make great contacts there. And also
www.agbc.de
have a chapter in Dusseldorf, and they will connect you with American (German) companies doing business in Germany (America).G.M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02652216131823877445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3454580701362584222.post-76087100314029251232012-09-26T09:14:44.780+02:002012-09-26T09:14:44.780+02:00Thanks for your thoughts, Giora! You're right,...Thanks for your thoughts, Giora! You're right, the economy is in a bit of a slump. But I do believe there are still fantastic opportunities and plenty of Great Jobs available. Fortunately I'm not in a position where I need to just take a decent job; I have part-time work and want to pursue new challenges for personal fulfillment as opposed to financial need. And any career that fits well with being a father, will be just fine for being a mother, too :) Continuing to balance work and family is part and parcel of finding a "Great Job" for any parent. You've got some good suggestions on where to look and I appreciate you sharing!~Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17839674142908901428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3454580701362584222.post-6447878408101726552012-09-24T20:58:23.209+02:002012-09-24T20:58:23.209+02:00I saw your call for help on Twitter and came to of...I saw your call for help on Twitter and came to offer some comments. First, the economy is getting worse in Germany so it might be better to just look for a decent job. Leave the greatness to you second or third job in Germany. Second, be flexible. Looking for your first ful time job in Germany, most jobs will do. You get an exprience of working in Germany nd after 6 months get start looking for a better job while you still working. It's easier to get a job when your work, compared to geeting one while being at home. Speaking English will be very valuable for Gemany companies in your area doing export. Check if Essen or Dusserldof have a cahmber of America-Germany business, where you can connect with Germany companies xporting to the US. Lastly, be open for a new career which fits well with being a mother. Check if Universities in your area need an adjust professor to teach Communication. Alles Gute!
